It should be pretty warm by then too! I'm happy you'll be up here under better circumstances. Definitely take time to enjoy Calgary!- Mark
Thank you Mark! Hoping we can get away and check out Edmonton while we are in the area too! :) This time I can actually enjoy the city!
I wish you the very best with your upcoming follow up exam after your surgery. I found your blog using google search. A woman I know had 11-hour HIPEC surgery here in Spokane, WA on February 6. Her recovery has been slow. She was transferred to a hospital in Shelby, Montana which is closer to her home on March 8 and finally discharged a couple of weeks ago. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Cori
Hi Cori, Thank you so much for your kindness, its much appreciated. I'm glad you found the blog! I've been trying to chronicle my experience in this journey as best I can. I wish your friend a good recovery... it does take a while. If you think about everything that is done during the surgery its nothing short of miraculous. There were definitely days that I wondered if I would ever get my old self back - but I did. Day by day!I will keep your friend in mine. I belong to a FB support group for appendix cancer, and a lot of people are there just to get information/ reassurance. Its a wonderful and supportive community, if your friend ever needs that sort of space.
